What Are Transitional Living Programs?
Transitional Living Programs are designed to offer ongoing support and a smoother shift from previous treatment programs back to reality. They aim to be a middle ground for individuals coming out of treatment that aren’t yet ready to completely submerge themselves back into daily life.
Who are transitional living programs designed for?
Individuals who need extra support to shift from a treatment setting back into the real world.Transitional Living Programs are typically for individuals who have a history of or currently struggle with any of the following:
- failure to launch syndrome
- video game addiction
- academic underachievement
- social functioning problems
- attachment issues
- depression/anxiety
- trauma

Instead of just being thrown back into the world, they’re given a helping hand with resources attached if they need help with challenges. They learn important skills, like how to cook a meal for themselves, apply for jobs, or solve roommate issues.
